About Us

Circus Arts Byron Bay has been operating at the Byron Entertainment Centre for 5 years. Situated just 5 minutes drive outside Byron Bay’s town centre in the Arts & Industry Estate (see directions and map). Circus Arts also operates an outdoor flying trapeze rig at Sydney Olympic Park.

The Byron Entertainment Centre is a state-of-the-art training centre which includes Australia’s first full-size indoor flying trapeze and a huge array of equipment including a dozen Lyra and Silks plus Low Trapezes and Ropes. There is also a fully functioning floor area with a variety of gymnastics activites. A wide range of classes are on offer, catering for all ages and abilities.

All programs at Circus Arts Australia have strategies to help participants in coordination, self confidence and team building. Circus Arts provides unique and physically challenging activities in all weather. Increasingly, many business and school groups are being inspired to face fears and get physical.

The thrill of participating at recreational sessions can lead to advanced training and entering the entertainment industry as a performer. Circus Arts sends trainees to circuses across Australia, to Club Med resorts and to venues around the world. Students also go on to further study at training institutions such as NICA, the National Institute of Circus Arts.

An increasing number of invitations to perform at corporate functions and at special events are affording more and more opportunities for trainees to work and perform in this unique field.

Circus Arts Australia is covered by public liability insurance. A copy of our insurance policies and risk assessment packages are available on request.
